LCVP: The LCVP Programme provides opportunities for active learning through links with industry and the community.

LCVP LINK MODULES: Enterprise Education  *  Preparation for the world of work.

LCA: The Leaving Certificate Applied is a two year programme which prepares students for adult working life. It focuses on different ways of learning and includes continuous assessment and work experience.

CAREER GUIDANCE: Advice is given to all students. Senior classes in particular are prepared for all aspects of Third Level Education, Interviews and Career Choice.

 

LEARNING SUPPORT AND RESOURCE: Extra tuition is available to pupils who may have reading or other difficulties.

 

HOME SCHOOL LINKS: The management and staff of St. Clare's fully recognise the importance of the role of parents in the education of their children. Closer co-operation between home and school is encouraged and meetings between teachers and parents are held at regular intervals throughout the school year. In addition to this, parents are welcome to call to the school at any time by appointment to discuss the progress of their children.

 

PARENTS' ASSOCIATION: There is a very active Parents' Association in the college. They meet regularly and their contribution to the further development of the College is invaluable. Parents are encouraged to support their Association in whatever way possible. Parents are also represented on the College Board of Management.

 

STUDENT COUNCIL: The Student Council is a student body made up of elected representatives from each class. The Council meets fortnightly to discuss issues.

 

SCHOOL UNIFORM: 

GIRLS: Plain white shirt, plain navy knee length a-line skirt, optional plain navt trousers, school jumper, school jacket, school tie, black shoes, navy tights/white socks.

BOYS: Plain white shirt, plain navy trousers, school jumper, school jacket, school tie, black shoes.

PE (GIRLS & BOYS): White socks, white t-shirt, runners, change of socks, tracksuit optional.
